About Graphic Designer Dana Lu
Dana Lu is a freelance graphic designer based in Vancouver, BC, with over 19 years of experience bringing brands to life through identity, print, and packaging design.
Since starting out as a designer in Vancouver, Dana earned her chops at various advertising and design studios before becoming the in-house graphic designer for an eyewear distributor.
Her role as Manager of Design Innovation at an international snack food manufacturer, working on well-known brands such as Rice Works and Nalley’s, launched her interest in the specialized world of food packaging.
Dana shifted to a freelance graphic design career in 2010, and has been happily helping brands visually tell their stories ever since.
“Good design is good business.”

Meet Dana (Day-na)
Outside of work, you’ll find Dana working on her push ups, cooking up healthy recipes for her family, sampling any panna cotta she comes across in Vancouver (regretfully not many!), and cycling along the Seawall.
She loves a good cup of earl grey tea just as much as a craft cocktail; and aburi sushi no less than a Neapolitan pizza. Did we mention that Dana is a food aficionado? Often found wandering grocery store food aisles while on holiday, she may be guilty of buying certain products solely based upon the captivating design. She comes by her affinity for food & beverage packaging design honestly.
Beyond her computer, Dana’s design skills manifest themselves when she’s repurposing second-hand store finds, crafting greeting cards, and engineering memorable gifts.
