Keto Bread and Buns
Island City Baking has been making breads with Artisan attention and tradition for more than 15 years. They ventured into bread innovation by introducing a keto line of bread and buns made with a flax seed base, incorporating omega-3s, fiber, and antioxidants. A keto diet is high in fat and low in carbs, which is meant to put the body into ketosis so it uses fat for energy.
The Challenge
Island City Baking asked for our help in launching this new line as they already had customers eagerly waiting. The priority was to communicate 'keto' prominently on the packaging, and feature essential nutritional information.
The Result
We opted for a limited colour palette while highlighting the star ingredient, the flax seed base, setting it apart from other keto breads. Then to target active individuals, we added monochromatic photos of people engaged in various activities like golfing, biking, canoeing, and yoga.
The bold 'keto' branding became a central focus, effectively communicating the product's alignment with a keto lifestyle – stay in ketosis without compromising on the enjoyment of favourite foods.
